The first industrial exhibition and an internationally conference for a win-win synergy. Offering 2 days of partnership opportunities and conviviality. Exhibitors and participants are gathering at AGADIR 3D PRINT Congress & Exhibition to immerse in additive manufacturing in morocco.Together with our conference programme focusing on the challenges of this industry we welcome moroccan and international speakers and industrial exhibitors.Agadir 3D Print aims to provide researchers and practitioners from academia and industry with a forum on the last developments in 3D Additive printing. The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for sharing experiences from different backgrounds with the common interest in advanced methods in the field.

PRESENTATION

A first in the region of Agadir (Souss Massa), the first edition of the International Exhibition & Conference Agadir 3D Print (A3DP) will be held from 23 to 24 October in Agadir.

This exhibition & conference is organized in collaboration between:

  • the laboratory "Image et reconnaissance de formes-Systems intelligents et communicants (IRF-SIC)" of IbnZohr University,
  • the Moroccan Association of Additive Medical Manufacturing
  • and the urban district of Agadir.

This is an opportunity for researchers and industrial operators in the field of 3D imaging and 3D printing, to take knowledge of the various 3D printing topics currently in full developpement, strengthen the exchange of knowledge-make (knowledge, experience, expertise, ...) between Moroccan and foreign researchers, allow manufacturers to present their products for the Moroccan market and highlight the strong themes, from research and development, through the design and up to the commercialization of this new technology.

This event will bring together national and international renowned academic and industrial scientists, the target audience is researchers, lecturer-researchers, doctoral students, engineers, industrialists and salespeople. Indeed, this event is a scientific event of collaboration, creation and reinforcement of multidisciplinary networks to develop a research and a transfer of high level technology.

Contexte & goals

3D printing is a process of manufacturing parts in volume by adding or by agglomeration of material. In industrial language, the term additive manufacturing is preferred. The benefits of 3D printing in professional circles are no longer to prove. Many industries use additive manufacturing technologies to meet specific needs.

The improvement of 3D printers and the materials used today allows many industrial sectors to benefit from this technology. In particular, the dental industry and luxury jewelery are already using 3D printing on a large scale for the production of final parts, we can say the same thing for the aerospace, automotive and film industries. Many observers believe that these technologies will play an important role in the new form of production. Many industries use additive manufacturing technologies to meet specific needs. These make it possible to replace the traditional methods, which are often longer and more expensive.

Africa, and in particular Morocco, is still on the sidelines of this technological revolution despite the huge regional opportunities in 3D printing: for example in the medical field or in the automotive and agricultural industry.

There is a real potential to play for Agadir, because of its proximity to Africa and europe, it can play the role of a strategic pole of transfer of technology in this field to the African continent.

Ibn Zohr University of Agadir is well placed to play this transmitter role because it has a competent university network that has developed several scientific collaborations with Europe. The objective of this event is to bring together scientists and specialists in the field around topics related to 3D printing. It is also an opportunity for researchers (national and international) to discuss the latest work and innovations in this area.

It is also an opportunity for industrial and commercial sector to present their products and find market opportunities.
